What we do

We’re realistic about the environmental impact of print. However, we believe there are things we can do to make print marketing more sustainable and even go one step further and do some good in the world.

Firstly, Zaps are highly targeted and printed on-demand using FSC paper from sustainable and recycled sources. So, we’re not blanket sending masses of generic mailers that end up in the trash. This means most brands can significantly reduce their print impact simply by moving away from traditional direct mail.

We have also partnered with Veritree to restore healthy forests damaged by paper harvesting. These initiatives reduce extreme poverty by employing local people to plant millions of trees every year in places where they used to grow.

ZAP~POST was previously partnered with the Eden Reforestation Project until the end of 2023 where, together with our sister business, Retain.me, we planted over 130,000 trees. We moved to Veritree to have greater transparency on our tree-planting efforts, both for us, and for ZAP~POST's members.

On top of that, any returned zaps are swiftly and securely converted and returned to your kitchen table in the form of a paper towel. See the fact sheet on our partnership with Shred-it

ZAP COUNT TREES 164,051 as at 4th January 2024

ZAP~POST has been committed to low-impact print from day one.
